RAL Classic was created in Europe as a colour matching system for plastics and lacquers within the decorative coatings industry. It was created in 1932 by the German factory owners’ association RAL GmbH. It consisted of a set of 8 basic colours, which could be mixed infinitely to produce any desired shade.
Today we know RAL Classic colour chart as convenient colour specification system for paints and other materials used in industry. The RAL Classic colour list contains 100 shades of white, 80 shades of red, 40 shades of green and so on.
