Cold HEX Colors

How we classify “Cold”

We compute HSL for every HEX. If hue ≥ 90° and hue ≤ 210°, the color is labeled cool. This range captures cyan, blue, and blue-violet, which typically register as cool across calibrated displays.

Cold ⇢ (90° ≤ h ≤ 210°)
  • “Cold” perception is most stable under neutral lighting, but may vary on warmer screens.
  • Desaturated or muted cool tones may appear more neutral or flat in dark mode UIs.
  • We track raw HSL, relative luminance, and contrast ratios—filter accordingly for your use case.
