CMYK to RAL Colour conversion

In a nutshell, CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black which could be combined to produce any desired color, while RAL provides predefined list of selected color shades.

CMYK guarantees a wider color gamut while RAL format is limited to the range of palette of choice. The conversion of CMYK to RAL is a process where we use computer assisted mathematics to work out the best equivalent colours from one system to another system, which in this instance would be from CMYK values to RAL values.

Alternatively, if you are looking for RAL to CMYK conversion, the tool for such purpose is also available here on this page. Both, RAL Classic and also RAL Design color charts are available for conversion.

Important: This input form requires you to provide CMYK values in percentage from 0 to 100% for each color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black).

Currently, we are using HEX codes for intermediate conversions so you will end up on HEX to RAL conversion page. This also means, that intermediate conversion is based on RGB colors. If you want to avoid using RGB and use LAB color space for more accurate results, you should check out cmyktool.com conversion instead.

In this conversion from CMYK to RAL, each color has specific value which could be converted between different color spaces with sustainable accuracy. The original CMYK values will be retained along with corresponding equivalent match (best choice) from RAL Classic or RAL Design colour chart.

This is done by first converting the original colors into their respective red, green and blue values (represented by numbers that range from 0-255). These values are then converted into HEX triplet (mix of red, green and blue). The final step of this process is selecting best equivalent RAL color, which is easy, because we already have HEX codes assigned to RAL colors in our database.
