Warm HEX Colors
How we classify “warm”
We compute HSL for every HEX. If hue < 30° or hue > 210°, the color is labeled warm. This boundary intentionally bleeds into magenta / violet because that’s where perception trends warm on most displays.
warm ⇢ (h < 30°) ∨ (h > 210°)
- Perception shifts with monitors, calibration, and ambient light.
- Very dark “warm” colors may read neutral. Use contrast filters for UI text choices.
- We store raw HSL alongside luminance & perceived brightness so you can sort or filter precisely.
